GHRH analog with a longer clinical history than newer secretagogues.

Overview

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH. It has a longer clinical history than CJC-1295. It stimulates physiological GH release through the pituitary. As a compounded peptide, it is not FDA-approved in its current formulation.

Mechanism

Acts on GHRH receptors in the pituitary to stimulate GH secretion. More conservative mechanism than GHRP combinations. Preferred when a gentler entry into GH optimization is appropriate.

Clinical Considerations

  • Assessed in the context of a hormone panel.
  • Established safety profile relative to newer secretagogues.
  • Requires provider evaluation.

Potential Side Effects

  • Injection site redness or discomfort.
  • Mild flushing or warmth shortly after injection.
  • Headache reported by some users early in the protocol.
  • Water retention and tingling are less commonly reported with Sermorelin than with CJC-1295/Ipamorelin combinations.

All prescriptions require a telehealth consultation with a licensed provider. A prescription is not guaranteed. Individual results vary. Not FDA-approved unless noted otherwise.
