Systemic NAD+ replenishment via subcutaneous injection.

Overview

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism and DNA repair signaling. Measured NAD+ levels in human tissue decline with age. SubQ injection delivers NAD+ systemically, bypassing GI degradation that limits oral forms. The clinical significance of NAD+ supplementation in otherwise healthy adults has not been fully established in large randomized controlled trials.

Mechanism

NAD+ functions as an electron carrier in metabolic pathways and as a substrate for PARPs (involved in DNA repair) and sirtuins. Preclinical data is extensive; human clinical data is more limited and ongoing.

Clinical Considerations

  • Injection site reactions (warmth, mild flushing) are common and typically transient.
  • Individual response varies. Effects are not guaranteed.
  • Requires provider evaluation and prescription.

Potential Side Effects

  • Injection site warmth, flushing, or mild discomfort — common and typically resolve within minutes.
  • Mild fatigue or headache reported by some users, particularly with higher doses early in protocol.
  • Nausea occasionally reported. Starting at lower doses and titrating typically reduces this.

All prescriptions require a telehealth consultation with a licensed provider. A prescription is not guaranteed. Individual results vary. Not FDA-approved unless noted otherwise.
