Sermorelin
A growth hormone secretagogue used in defined blocks for sleep, recovery, and body composition.
What it is
Sermorelin signals the pituitary to release growth hormone naturally rather than replacing it, which keeps the feedback loop intact.
What it is used for
Sleep quality, recovery capacity, and body composition goals, most often in a defined evening protocol.
How a protocol is structured
Runs in blocks with a defined start and end, with check-ins to judge whether continuing makes sense.
What to expect
Sleep often improves first, with body composition changes following across the block. Progress is reviewed, not assumed.
Common questions
What does sermorelin do?
It is a growth hormone releasing hormone analogue, meaning it prompts your own pituitary to release growth hormone in its natural pulsed pattern rather than supplying growth hormone directly. It is most often discussed for sleep quality, recovery and body composition.
How is it different from CJC-1295 with ipamorelin?
Sermorelin is the shorter-acting and longer-established option, and it is usually the simpler first block. CJC-1295 with ipamorelin lasts longer and pairs two mechanisms. Tesamorelin is the one studied specifically for visceral fat rather than for sleep and recovery.
When is it usually taken?
Growth hormone release is naturally largest in the first hours of sleep, which is why timing around bedtime comes up so often with this class. The schedule that applies to you is set by the prescribing provider.
What should be measured?
IGF-1 is the marker usually discussed with growth hormone peptides, since growth hormone itself is too pulsatile to read from a single draw. Labs are not required to start, and we recommend them. Lab work can be arranged through our provider network if you would like it included.
