Glutathione
The body's primary antioxidant, used in protocols aimed at cellular defense and recovery.
What it is
Glutathione is the body's master antioxidant, involved in detoxification pathways and cellular defense.
What it is used for
Energy, a heavy inflammatory load, and meaningful toxin exposure, alongside recovery and longevity protocols. It is discussed most in the setting of a genuinely high oxidative burden.
How a protocol is structured
Runs as a defined course or scheduled support within a reviewed plan.
What to expect
Subtle, cumulative support. Judged alongside the rest of the plan rather than in isolation.
Common questions
What is glutathione?
It is the body's principal intracellular antioxidant, a tripeptide of glutamate, cysteine and glycine, involved in detoxification pathways and in recycling other antioxidants. Levels decline with age and with oxidative stress.
Why injectable rather than a capsule?
Oral glutathione is largely broken down in digestion, which is the reason injectable and precursor forms such as NAC get discussed at all. The evidence on how much any route raises intracellular levels is still limited, and that is worth knowing before you decide.
How is it usually run?
As a three month add-on alongside a cycle rather than as a standalone therapy, reviewed at your check-ins. Route and dose are set by the prescribing provider.
Can it be run with NAD+?
They are commonly discussed together because they sit on different parts of the same cellular maintenance picture, and both are offered here as add-ons rather than standalone plans. Whether running both makes sense for you is a provider decision.
