Pentadeca arginate
A marketed variant of BPC-157 in arginate salt form, promoted as more stable, with no peer-reviewed human or animal studies of the variant itself.
What the name describes
Pentadeca means fifteen, and BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide, a chain of fifteen amino acids. Arginate refers to the salt form the peptide is paired with. So the name describes BPC-157 supplied as an arginate salt rather than the acetate form that most research used.
Salt form can genuinely affect stability and solubility. That is a real pharmaceutical consideration, not a fiction.
What the evidence shows
For the variant specifically, essentially nothing. There are no peer-reviewed human trials of pentadeca arginate, and no published animal work comparing it head to head against the acetate form for absorption, stability or effect.
The underlying peptide is itself investigational. BPC-157 has a large preclinical literature and almost no clinical literature, with the majority of published studies in animals, and it was added to the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list in 2022.
How to read the claims
Pentadeca arginate is usually presented as a next generation version with better absorption and broader effects. The salt form is a legitimate pharmaceutical variable, and those specific comparative claims simply have not been published yet.
So the useful question to ask about any form of this peptide is what has actually been measured. That is the same question a provider should be asking on your behalf.
Baseline does not dispense this. It is here because people ask about it, and because an honest read of the evidence is more useful than a sales page.
